Manage your payment settings and earnings via Stripe

Once you’ve connected TaxDome Payments, you can access your Stripe dashboard to view earnings and change your payment details. To see your payouts without signing in to Stripe, use the payouts list in TaxDome.

Before you start

Make sure you’ve completed the TaxDome Payments onboarding process in TaxDome. If you haven’t set up your account yet, learn how to connect to TaxDome Payments .

Access your Stripe dashboard

The TaxDome Payments card in Settings > Integrations > Payments shows which Stripe account is connected to TaxDome: its Business name, Stripe account ID, and Owner email. If your business has more than one Stripe account, use these details to confirm which one TaxDome uses.

To sign in to your Stripe dashboard:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Payments, then click Stripe dashboard on the TaxDome Payments card. This opens the Stripe account connected to TaxDome.
  1. Enter the email address you used to sign up for TaxDome Payments.
  1. Enter the verification code sent to your phone number.

You can view processing fee statements for past months in Reports > All Fees in your Stripe dashboard. Fee data is available 96 hours after a fee affects your balance.

Understand payout timing

Payouts follow a standard schedule with processing delays. Understanding how this works helps you plan when funds will arrive in your bank account.

Payouts follow this schedule:

  • Daily processing with a 2-business-day delay
  • Daily cutoff time: 7:00 PM EST (12:00 AM UTC)
  • No processing on weekends or holidays

For card payments, funds are available in your Stripe balance instantly and eligible for payout on the standard 2-business-day schedule. ACH bank debit payments take 4–5 business days to clear before funds are added to your Stripe balance. Once available, they follow the same payout schedule.

Payout timing is based on when a payment is processed, not when it’s later applied to an invoice. This applies to prepayments and deposits: the payout clock starts when the client makes the prepayment, even if that credit is applied to an invoice much later.

Example payout timing:

Payment made before 7:00 PM EST Payment made after 7:00 PM EST
Wednesday → Friday Wednesday → Monday
Thursday → Monday Thursday → Tuesday
Friday → Tuesday Friday → Wednesday

The dates above reflect when Stripe initiates the payout. Most banks post the deposit within 1–2 business days after that.

Team member access is managed directly in Stripe, not in TaxDome. For details on available roles and permissions, see Stripe’s documentation .

Respond to Stripe information requests

After onboarding, Stripe may ask for more details about your business—for example, a document or information about the payments you process. Stripe may pause your payments or payouts until you provide them.

When Stripe has an open request, TaxDome shows it in three places:

  • A TaxDome Payments needs more information banner at the top of the page
  • A red exclamation mark next to Settings, Integrations, and the Payments tab
  • A block above the TaxDome Payments card that lists each request with its status, such as Past due

To respond:

  1. Click Go to Payments settings in the banner, or go to Settings > Integrations > Payments.

  2. Find the request above the TaxDome Payments card, then click Add information.

  3. Sign in to Stripe if prompted, then submit the requested details.

Once you’ve submitted everything, the banner and exclamation marks disappear. The list of requests stays above the card while Stripe reviews your submission.

The banner is visible to the firm owner and admins.
