August 2026
-
Inbox+ redesigned with folder navigation: Find what matters faster with folders on the left —All notifications, Archived, and a new Mentions folder with its own counter—so messages where a teammate tagged you never get buried in the general feed.
-
Client account Overview page redesigned: The Overview page is reorganized into an Account section (notes, tags, custom fields, roles, contacts) and an Overview section with six tabs—Client to-do’s, Jobs & tasks, Communication, Docs, Billing, and Activity. Pin a tab to open it by default and collapse the blocks you don’t use.
-
Config & Send for Desktop uploads: In the Windows app, Config & Send opens a Notify your client sidebar in your browser for an uploaded document, so you can set up e-signature, invoice lock, and job link together and notify the client in one confirmation instead of separate browser trips.
-
Invoice emails show the real balance due: When credits or a partial payment already reduced what a client owes, the invoice email shows a Balance due line—and a Credit applied line when relevant—instead of the full original total.
-
Faster ACH setup for subscription payments: Firms paying their TaxDome subscription by ACH now get their bank account verified automatically , with no waiting period or bank statement code to enter—the subscription payment goes through right away.
-
Desktop: multi-file upload to different folders: Upload multiple files for the same client and assign each one to a different destination folder in a single upload, instead of applying one folder to the whole batch.
-
Bulk invoice reminders from the invoice list: Send email reminders for multiple invoices at once directly from the invoice list, instead of opening each invoice individually.
-
Clearer signatures on Proposals with multiple signers: When a proposal has more than one signer, the signature section now splits into two columns —Client’s signature and Other signatures—so it’s clear which signature belongs to whom.
-
Juno: link a custom field to EIN: Copy a business client’s EIN from a custom field instead of typing it, and optionally link that field so every future business client’s EIN fills in automatically.
July 2026
-
Payment method restrictions: Control exactly which payment methods your firm accepts —separately for bank debit, debit card, credit card, and American Express—so you can stop absorbing processing fees on card types you’d rather not take.
-
Manage client payment methods on behalf of clients: Add, delete, and replace payment methods saved to a client’s account , with expiration dates shown at a glance—so charges keep running smoothly without waiting on the client.
-
Scheduled bulk client-chat messages: Schedule one message to send to many client contacts at once, then track and manage every pending send from the new Scheduled section in Global Communications or on a client’s account.
-
RDP support for the TaxDome Desktop app: RDP and hosted-desktop support was introduced in v4.8.2 for firms hosted on RightWorks, Verito, or Intuit Hosting.
-
Clearer CRM import: Import contacts and accounts with a redesigned preview and results screen, plus specific reasons—not generic errors—when a row gets skipped.
-
“Update job assignees” automation by role: Assign jobs to whoever currently holds a role —like Preparer or Manager—instead of a named team member, so the automation keeps working as staff change.
-
Pipeline and Jobs filter improvements: Filter for jobs with no assignee in one click , in the Jobs list. The pipeline board also gained its own new filters—intake date, internal deadline, time budget, and more.
June 2026
-
Invoices—Save as draft: Save a one-time invoice as a draft and return to it later. Drafts are invisible to clients, not synced to QuickBooks, and don’t block pipeline automations until you send them.
-
Completed job status automation: Automatically set jobs to Completed when they enter a specific pipeline stage by adding the Update job status automation to that stage—no manual status change required.
-
Any, All, and None tag conditions in pipelines: Control exactly which accounts trigger automations with four tag operators— Any of, All of, None of, and Exclude all . Combine multiple conditions into AND groups to target specific client segments without adding extra tags.
-
Web-based document migration tool: Migrate your document library into TaxDome from your browser—no desktop app needed (Chrome only). Select a local folder, auto-match subfolders to client accounts by name, fix unmatched folders manually, and upload in resumable batches. Download a CSV summary at any point.
-
Payout reconciliation report: Export a CSV payout reconciliation report organized by payout. Each payout groups the charges, refunds, and adjustments that make up the bank deposit. Choose a preset period and receive a download link by email when the report is ready.
-
Send business tax returns to Juno: Send business returns to Juno alongside personal 1040s. Select the return type—1120 (C corp), 1120S (S corp), or 1065 (Partnership)—enter the company name and EIN, which pre-fills automatically on subsequent sends.
-
Automatic image-to-PDF conversion: Images uploaded to TaxDome are automatically converted to PDF, making them consistent with the rest of your library and available for merging and editing in the built-in PDF editor.
-
Search in Services: Find services faster with a new search bar in the Services list —type a name and press Enter to filter by service name.
-
Year presets for the invoices date filter: The invoice date filter is renamed to Date posted and gains year-based presets—current year plus the two preceding years—alongside existing presets for today, this week, this month, and this quarter.
May 2026

Wiki page search and sorting in job cards: When linking wiki pages to a job , you can now search by title and sort pages alphabetically, making it faster to find the right page in firms with large wikis.
-
Email sync statuses for team members: Admins can now see three distinct email sync statuses per team member in Team & plans—Active, Disconnected, and Not connected—along with the reason and timestamp for disconnection where available.

April 2026
-
Custom billing rates: Set custom billing rates by service and team member to eliminate manual rate lookups and invoice errors. Rates apply automatically when logging time and generating invoices, and can be edited or deleted as needed.
-
Stage time limits: Define a maximum time a job can stay in each pipeline stage . Jobs that exceed the limit are visually highlighted on the pipeline board and Jobs page, making it easy to spot and prioritize stuck work at a glance.
-
TaxDome Kiosk: Firms that meet clients face-to-face can now collect e-signatures on the spot using a shared office tablet. Clients sign directly on-screen —no portal login, no printed forms.
-
Proposal duplicating: Duplicate any sent or draft proposal directly from the proposals list. All fields are copied and the new proposal is saved as a draft—ready to edit and send.
March 2026
-
Pass payment technology fee: For firms using Stripe or TaxDome Payments, pass the 3% credit card processing fee to clients with a new firm-level setting. Applies to credit card payments only, with per-client exceptions, automatic fee display at checkout, and correct handling for refunds and QuickBooks Online sync.
-
Pay invoices on behalf of clients: Firm members can now charge a client’s saved payment method directly from the invoice list—or enter a new one—with full activity tracking and notifications.
-
AI automatching for document checklists: Uploaded client documents are automatically matched to checklist items based on file names and AI-assigned tags, updating checklist progress in real time without manual effort.
-
New job status: Mark jobs as Completed with a new job status that signals work is fully done without archiving. Includes bulk updates, filtering, and sorting.
-
Scheduled messages in chats: Schedule chat messages to send at a chosen date and time, with a clock indicator in the thread and options to edit, reschedule, or delete before delivery.

-
Internal comments in emails: Add internal comments directly on email threads to collaborate with your team without leaving the conversation—visible only to firm members.
-
Drafts in client chat threads: Messages are now auto-saved as drafts in client chat threads. Switch between threads or close the tab without losing your work—drafts are restored when you return.
-
Checklist upload reminders: Clients who can’t provide a document right away can specify when they’ll submit it and automatically receive an email reminder on that date.
-
Tax amount display in invoices and proposals: Invoices and proposals now show both the tax rate percentage and the calculated tax amount side by side for a clearer, more transparent breakdown.
January 2026
-
Send checklist only: Send document checklists to clients without the full organizer questionnaire. Track checklist completion, integrate with automation, and streamline document collection for clients who don’t need the questionnaire.
